Classic | Salisbury, MD Newborn Photographer

I never tire of the classics, a baby on a fresh stack of towels. Unfortunately this is not a “one size fits all” type of pose. The baby has to cooperate to get the right shot. This baby (the same one from the “hammock” post) did it flawlessly. Sometimes babies kick and try to shimmy off of the stack or want to roll and stretch out. I always have mom or dad within arms reach to catch a squirmy little one. Newborn photography, when done right, can look easy. Most of the time it is a long tedious process to get the “touch your heart” type of shots. So, have patience when working with newborns. With yesterday’s newborn session, it took me 20 minutes before I was able to snap the camera for the first time and there were many breaks to settle her, but in the end we got some really great things.

Everyone of your shots take my breath away…This is sooo sweet! How I wish I had my daughter’s portrait taken in this pose.
