We are thoroughly enjoying the snowfall these past few days. Being snowed in allows for sledding, movies, bubble baths and of course impromptu photo sessions with my girls and their friend. We had some fun this morning getting dressed up and posing for my camera. Aren’t they sweet?

This absolutely precious 1 week old was such a joy to photograph this morning. It has been a while since I have had such an itty bitty one in my studio and I remembered why I love it so much. She did have her moments when she didn’t want me to fuss with her, but she was really cooperative for the most part. Thanks to her mommy who is only a week post partum with a c-section and I know was probably tired, getting her in so early totally paid off. I hope you enjoy these few from this morning!

Snowed in… | Salisbury MD Children’s Photographer
I braved the snow and semi-plowed roads to spend a couple of hours with these two precious children this morning. Little Mr. K has the biggest and prettiest hazel eyes. He is a mover and getting around a lot for a 9 month old. His big sister was eager to show me her room and helped me around the house. I enjoyed our time together this morning. Enjoy these few for now!

Little bit of sugar… | Salisbury MD Newborn Photographer
This sweetie is 3 weeks old today! She was too little for most of the hats and cute things I have, but she fit one her Aunt made perfectly (see that last photo with the hat and that adorable bear). Baby R also gave up some major smiles and coos. She is well advanced for her age giving up those near laughs. It was too cute!

There’s a new baby at our house
a new baby of the four legged kind. We got this precious little pooch last week. Leo is 10 weeks old and fitting in perfectly with our family. Isn’t he sweet?

Sweet baby girl | Salisbury MD Newborn Photographer
When mom walked into the studio with this precious little one I got excited. Her skin is pink and creamy and her blue eyes are absolutely stunning. She is a beautiful little girl. Ten week old baby “A” is the youngest of three girls. Her sisters are nearly the same age as my older girls were when Lily was born. Her daddy is a hero and works hard to protect the town of Berlin from fires, her mommy is also a hero and works hard keeping her patients healthy. I was excited when Mom asked if she could bring along Daddy’s helmet. Our session this morning went great! Take a look at a few from our time together.

A New Baby Brother | Salisbury MD Newborn Photographer
Little Miss R has a new baby brother at her house. Little man was such a joy to photograph. He is the sweetest little thing who seems to be pretty easy to console. He let me move him all around and objected to a few things, but for the most part, was super cooperative. Here are a few photos from our morning together.

Blast from the past…|Salisbury MD Newborn Photographer
Wow… facebook can be such a wonderful tool to reconnect old friends. I went to school in NJ and recently reconnected with a bunch of friends from there via facebook. This morning, one of those friends drove down to Maryland to have a session with her husband and two children. I was thrilled to be able to have the opportunity to see her again and meet her precious family. Baby boy is 6 weeks old and was a great trooper for having been in the car for nearly 4 hours before his session and Little Miss was a dream to photograph. No cheesy smiles from her and a natural beauty. I can’t wait to share more from this morning’s session. Enjoy these for now.

and the winner is…
this sweet munchkin. I had to go back through the votes and verify that she was the winner. It was such a close race! I agree wholeheartedly with baby #5’s daddy who said you are all winners. Your babies are all so absolutely precious. I had the privileged to meet so many wonderful babies represented here and not, last year. Every one of them has a special place in my heart. I didn’t want anyone to walk away empty handed. So babies 9 and 5 (who came in second and third place) I will gift you an 8×10 print of your choice. You may use this print credit for your baby’s session last year or for a future session. The rest of you will be getting a credit of $10 on your account to use on prints or towards a session in the future.

Blog Contest! Free Session Giveaway!
UPDATE AGAIN: PLEASE DO NOT VOTE MULTIPLE TIMES IN A DAY. I will be discrediting votes that do not adhere to that rule. I do not want to have to disqualify any of these precious babies from this contest.
UPDATE: The voting is going great so far. You have really spread the word about your children’s photos. Please adhere to the voting “once per day” rule. If I see duplicate posts from any one person in a day, they will be discredited.
Happy New Year!!!
2009 was an amazing year for Bluebug Photography. I was able to meet so many absolutely wonderful people. I was able to work with so many newborns this year. Even the most difficult babies proved to come through in the end and gave us some time to get absolutely wonderful images. It was so very hard to pick and choose for this contest.
Ok, now on to the fun! Get family and friends to vote on your little one(s) in the poll below and you could win a free session for this year. The baby with the most votes gets a free photo session! The poll will be open until Jan 10 at midnight. You may vote once per day. Send this link to your family and friends and start voting!

A photo from one of the last few sessions of 2009. Sweet children! I hope your Christmas was joyful and filled with love and peace. Wishing you a wondrous new year!

This sweet little muffin was born just a couple of days after my birthday. She is only 5 days old and one of the sweetest newborns I’ve had for a while. Getting them in early really does make a difference. This precious little one slept for 95% of our session this morning and let me pose her in any way. We were able to get some great photos! Take a look at this bunch from this morning.

Chillin’ | Salisbury, MD Newborn Photographer
Little man “A” is absolutely precious. He is still teeny and oh-so-bendy. He was really a great trooper this morning. Our session had to be quick because of my travel plans, so I was a bit nervous (you can never predict how a newborn session will go). Little man stepped up to the challenge. Yes, he did poop all over his daddy and pee quite a bit, but for the most part, he was a complete angel. He seems to have a laid back attitude so far in his life… I like that! Enjoy these few photos from our morning together.

Warmest Wishes

I only have a few more obligations before the New Year, so I’d like to take this time to say, thank you to all of my friends and clients. You have helped me realize just how much I love photographing happy faces. Because of you, I’m able to stay at home with my children and follow one of passions. Every single client this year has been simply wonderful. I wonder how many people absolutely love each and everyone they get to work with? I have found that I do. It has been an amazing year and I have had the chance to enter into so many lives. Thanks for sharing your families, children and friends with me. Wishing you all the best for the holidays!
Be of good cheer! | Cambridge, MD Family Photographer
I know I’ve said it before, I have the very best clients. Real people who are genuinely kind and good. This family fits right into that category. They are so sweet and all so photogenic! This morning was cold, but we made the best of it and took some great photos! The second photo is not my typical style, but I was having some fun editing it. I can’t wait to be able to share the rest of these photos with their family.

Double the Fun! | Salisbury MD Newborn Photographer
Little miss D and her brother T are just the sweetest babies. They were a full 2 months old for our session this morning which made things a bit trickier. They both fell asleep, unfortunately it was at different times. We worked hard to get some great shots. Here are two of them from our morning together.

These children are not only the cutest little dressers, but they were so sweet. They were both cold, but they didn’t fall apart during our session. Both Little Miss I and Big Kid M were super cooperative, polite and just nice children. I love photographing families like this!

Baby it’s cold outside | Salisbury MD Children’s Photographer
The first day of December proved to be a bit chilly. Sweet little M didn’t let it bother her one bit. Of course her little red nose and cheeks needed a bit of help, but she was content to walk around and explore. Here are a few from this morning. Enjoy!

Mine
One out of probably 100 photos I took… this is the only one of the three of them that came out. My ratio of “keep to toss” is not perfected when shooting my own children.
