Watching families grow is such a wonderful part of my job. This sweet chunky monkey is baby boy number 2 in this family. I’ve had the privilege of photographing his big brother when he was a baby and continue with the tradition for the new baby. I had the opportunity to visit this little man today. Mom and dad were a bit worried about how he would be for our session, but they had nothing to worry about. He was an angel for the entire session (although dad, who got graced with baby poo twice, probably thinks differently). He was awake for some of his session and sound asleep for the rest. This sweet little girl turned one last week! She is a independent little thing and knows exactly how to pull a hat off of her head in no time flat. She thoroughly enjoyed the giant cupcake her mom brought for her to the session and objected loudly to the impromptu bath in the sink during cleanup. This sweet little boy is almost 3 months old. He did move around quite a bit and tried to act like a 6 month old when we put him in some of my baskets, but he was really a great trooper. He had an aversion to hats, but with a little coaxing was soon wearing some of my stash. For now, enjoy these couple, I have plenty more I can’t wait to share.

These little boys were really good for me this morning. Big brother was so very helpful trying to get the baby to smile and making sure I got some of the two of them together. I could really tell how much he loves his brother. The baby turned one year old the other day! It is easy for me to relate to that age, since I am in the midst of it with my little one. Both boys are so very handsome! I’m glad I had the chance to hang out at their house for a while this morning. Enjoy these few photos for now!

SNOW!
I hope you have all been able to stay warm and dry. Snow, snow and more snow… It has caused me to reschedule a bunch of newborn sessions and other sessions this past weekend. If you were on the schedule and we had to reschedule I’ll be giving you a call today to figure out when we can all dig out long enough to start with sessions again. You would think that being stuck inside with the white stuff falling outside, I would be able to get a lot of work done. Wrong. All three of my girls have been here with a bit of cabin fever. The older two are good at figuring out how to entertain themselves for a short amount of time, the baby, well let’s just say she finds a way to entertain herself as well. She has been into everything these past few days. She and the new puppy are a tag team of destruction around my house. Yesterday she found a bag of shredded cheese on the table (her favorite place to hang out) and decided to have some fun. The chocolate mustache is from icing and vanilla wafers that her older sister made for breakfast before I woke up. I’m tired and ready for a normal schedule again.

We are thoroughly enjoying the snowfall these past few days. Being snowed in allows for sledding, movies, bubble baths and of course impromptu photo sessions with my girls and their friend. We had some fun this morning getting dressed up and posing for my camera. Aren’t they sweet?

This absolutely precious 1 week old was such a joy to photograph this morning. It has been a while since I have had such an itty bitty one in my studio and I remembered why I love it so much. She did have her moments when she didn’t want me to fuss with her, but she was really cooperative for the most part. Thanks to her mommy who is only a week post partum with a c-section and I know was probably tired, getting her in so early totally paid off. I hope you enjoy these few from this morning!

I braved the snow and semi-plowed roads to spend a couple of hours with these two precious children this morning. Little Mr. K has the biggest and prettiest hazel eyes. He is a mover and getting around a lot for a 9 month old. His big sister was eager to show me her room and helped me around the house. I enjoyed our time together this morning. This sweetie is 3 weeks old today! She was too little for most of the hats and cute things I have, but she fit one her Aunt made perfectly (see that last photo with the hat and that adorable bear). There’s a new baby at our house
a new baby of the four legged kind. We got this precious little pooch last week. Leo is 10 weeks old and fitting in perfectly with our family. Isn’t he sweet?

When mom walked into the studio with this precious little one I got excited. Her skin is pink and creamy and her blue eyes are absolutely stunning. She is a beautiful little girl. Ten week old baby “A” is the youngest of three girls. Her sisters are nearly the same age as my older girls were when Lily was born. Her daddy is a hero and works hard to protect the town of Berlin from fires, her mommy is also a hero and works hard keeping her patients healthy. I was excited when Mom asked if she could bring along Daddy’s helmet. Our session this morning went great! Take a look at a few from our time together.

Blast from the past…|Salisbury MD Newborn Photographer
Wow… facebook can be such a wonderful tool to reconnect old friends. I went to school in NJ and recently reconnected with a bunch of friends from there via facebook. This morning, one of those friends drove down to Maryland to have a session with her husband and two children. I was thrilled to be able to have the opportunity to see her again and meet her precious family. Baby boy is 6 weeks old and was a great trooper for having been in the car for nearly 4 hours before his session and Little Miss was a dream to photograph. No cheesy smiles from her and a natural beauty. I can’t wait to share more from this morning’s session. Enjoy these for now.

this sweet munchkin. I had to go back through the votes and verify that she was the winner. It was such a close race! I agree wholeheartedly with baby #5’s daddy who said you are all winners. Your babies are all so absolutely precious. I had the privileged to meet so many wonderful babies represented here and not, last year. Every one of them has a special place in my heart. I didn’t want anyone to walk away empty handed. So babies 9 and 5 (who came in second and third place) I will gift you an 8×10 print of your choice. You may use this print credit for your baby’s session last year or for a future session. The rest of you will be getting a credit of $10 on your account to use on prints or towards a session in the future.
